On the 6th of December Craigy Hill enjoyed the company and preaching of Ian McNie, current moderator of the General Assembly. Ian had been a summer assistant in Craigy Hill under Rev. Buick, and gained more than just experience but also met his future wife while in the congregation- Anne Thompson.
It was a pleasure to join with Anne and Ian for worship and lunch afterwards. The first Sunday in December also marked 60 years from the first Sunday School in the Craigy Hill area under Rev Bill Boyd. Therefore it was lovely for the congregation to welcome Rev Boyd and his wife, Mabel, back to the congregation on the 6th. There certainly was a lot of reminiscing going on over lunch.
